Followed by a walk across the brooklyn bridge to the new Brooklyn Bridge park. It's really amazing that only a year and a half ago this was just an asphalt covered pier.

North Carolina

Went down to the NC farm late last month, the place is so beautiful and desolate.

Recent Pictures...

Just a couple of pictures taken over the last month or so...

Books in the Atlanta airport. I had about an hour to kill before my flight back to NY. I keep on forgetting how different Atlanta is from NYC. All the bookstores in the airport had a section of Christian books in it, no matter how small the store, all of them had a Christian section.

What bothers me about books like this is they manipulate and take advantage the most base fears and superstitions of people.

The
New Museum had a very forgettable exhibit by Urs Fischer. The architecture of the building is far more interesting.

I love the look of the tiled women's bathroom

...and finally, a picture of the Aeonium that I swiped from my aunt's place in CA last year. It survived the trip out east and rooted nicely. It's about time I repotted it in a bigger and nicer container.

Love Me (aka London, Part 2)

Yeah, yeah...I was in London seemingly a million years ago and have yet to finish posting the pictures. But here goes...

Anyway, below are pictures from my favorite bit of London: Borough Market. Stinky cheeses, beautiful fruits and vegetables and fresh oysters all make this one of the best markets I've ever been to (runner up is Rome's wonderful Campo de' Fiori)

Really, is there anyone who can resist truffles with such cool flavors?

Turkish delight! They were soft and with so many interesting flavors, like "Mastica" which was odd and pine-y.

London (part 1)

Recently came back from a great week in London. I miss spending days exploring a new city, going to great museums and getting lost.

Get Stuffed

In some of the public bathrooms, they have this interesting unit where you can get soap, water and then dry your hands all in the same place.

Los Angeles

Last week I went to LA for a few days and the most interesting thing I saw in LA is below:

Which should give you an idea of what I thought of LA, Orange County specifically.

Followed by cloying cutesy kitties. Don't get me wrong, I love cats but cat crap can not be tolerated.
